Zoo are you?

A friend gave us a few passes for Riverbanks Zoo, so we went to enjoy the beautiful day and see some animals. While Griffin wasn’t enthralled by the animals from afar, he sure did love people watching. That is his favorite thing these days. That, and eating Goldfish snacks. He is nearly 14 months now and a wild man for sure. He is only a few days away form breaking into a full jogg, is climbing on most anything he finds, doing sommersalts on any soft pile of pillows or blankets and talking up a storm. There aren’t a bunch of words we can translate, but here’s a few: dog,what’s that, sit, easy and now eyes (this is said as he pokes you in the eyeball, but hey – at least he’s got his biology right?).

Anyhoo, here are our fun pictures from our super-fun day.

**side note: I am surprised Larry got one of him smiling here. He was terrified of the birds, and got upset when they walked up and down my arm, but he kept trying to touch them!

Easter Egg Hunt

Aunt Jess and Uncle Matt hosted an Easter Egg Hunt last Sunday. It was super fun and we found lots of eggs filled with yummy treats and fun toys! Here are some pictures from the fun day.

So I turned the big 1 a couple weeks ago! Thanks to all my friends and family who came to celebrate with me and watch my shove all that yummy chocolate icing in my mouth. It sure was fun!

Its Griff here and I can only say, I am so sorry my parents are such slackers. I have been telling them for months now (in between all my Ba Ba Ba’s, raspberry’s and squeals of delight) that it is way past time to update the world on my life. I have been doing so much lately that I must admit, I keep them quite busy. I am nearly crawling and while Mom tells me it’s cute and she encourages me to move my little heiney after my toys, I get the feeling she isn’t quite ready for me to really make that move. She keeps telling me to take it slow, but I tell ya – I am ready to go. She tries to hold me and get things done in the kitchen (cuz, you see I really prefer to be held and snuggled all the time instead of being left to my own devices on the floor or in my walker) and I try REALLLLY hard to bend down and help but she just won’t let me. Dad is just as bad. They tell me I am not old enough to cook dinner or help slice all these yummy looking tomatos, and I don’t like that one bit. But I sure do love eating some sweet potatos, apples, bananas, pears, green beans and my most favortie thing is acorn squash. That yellow stuff is yumtastic, I tell ya! Anyway, I could probably go on and on about all the fabulous things I can do these days but Mom is fussing about it being waaaaay past my bedtime now, so I will just show you some pictures of my most recent beach trip and a fun little photo shoot. My friend Ella Grace came over and was getting her pictures taken by Dad, the neighborhood photographer person and I decided it was my turn. Actually Mommy decided for me, but I was more than happy to show off my two new teeth and my adorable (if I do say so myself) grins for the old camera. Here’s a few of Mom’s favorites. Well Griffin is nearly four months now and still eating like a horse! We decided it may be time to start adding in some cereal. Thought we’d share the photos of those first bites…

not so sure about that first bite. He looked a bit like “what the heck is that stuff?” but kept at it.

He may have eaten a teaspoon or two and was then ready for his bottle, but not long after he sacked out (around 7pm) and slept til nearly 6!! He has been sleeping through the night for almost two months now, but that was a long time!! So, it looks like rice cereal may be a new staple in our house and there will likely be many more shots like this one:
